Bold Flavor, Easy Growth
Oregano is a hardy herb known for its bold flavor in Mediterranean cooking. It grows well both indoors and outdoors with minimal care.
Light & Temperature:
Oregano loves 6 hours or more of sunlight per day. Indoors, a bright windowsill or grow light is ideal. It thrives in temperatures around 65–75°F but can handle slightly cooler conditions.
Watering:
Allow the top inch of soil to dry between waterings. Oregano prefers slightly dry conditions rather than soggy soil.
Feeding:
A light monthly feeding keeps oregano lush. Too much fertilizer can make the flavor less intense.
Repotting Tips:
Move oregano to a pot 2–3 inches larger when roots start crowding. Use well-draining soil, gently tease out roots, and water lightly after repotting.
Harvesting:
Pinch leaves often to promote bushy growth. Harvesting regularly strengthens the plant and intensifies the flavor.
